Last night a few friends and I decided to venture to Litchfield, NH and visit Spooky World! Having never been there we were armed with just the information from their website (http://spookyworld.com/). After a little detour on the way there - Stupid phone GPS- we finally arrived. The parking was surprisingly abundant and fairly priced at $10.
Having bought our tickets online we walked in only to find out that you have to stand in the same line as those who did not purchase their tickets yet to trade them in :(. 45 minutes later we get our real tickets and head off into the darkness. We come up to the first 'haunted house' and decide to get in line. A hour and a few ghostly figures later we it was our turn to enter. It was pretty well put together and amusing for being inside a giant circus tent. After a quick 5 minute jaunt through the house it was all over and I felt a sense of sadness as I wanted more.
The spooks and clowns walking the grounds offered great entertainment as you wandered around or waited in line. Ranging from dead clowns to giant aliens to crying girls with teddy bears there was no shortage of amusement. The wait time for the houses wasn't that bad, however, with the temperature at a brisk 48° it got cold really fast.
It made a good night filled with laughs, jumps and fried food. So if you're in the 603 area or surrounding tri-state area definetly check out Spooky World before it leaves!
